Terms of Service (Beta)

Effective: [date] · Version: beta-1 · Operator: Symposiarch, LLC, 1111 6th Ave Ste 550, PMB 233125, San Diego, CA 92101-5211, California

1. What WayVote is. WayVote is a civic information service. It shows you legislation, ballot measures and candidates in plain language, lets you record your own positions, and compares them with the public voting records of elected officials and with other users who choose to share. WayVote takes no position on any bill, measure or candidate and never tells you how to vote.

2. Beta. You are using pre-release software. Features may change, break, or be removed. Data you enter may be reset before public launch; we will give notice before any reset that affects your account. The Beta Tester Agreement (document C) also applies.

3. Eligibility. You must be 18 or older, or 13–17 with a parent or guardian who has completed the guardian approval flow. WayVote is not for anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. We ask for birth month and year to apply this rule.

4. Your account. Keep your sign-in private. You are responsible for activity under your account. One account per person. Representatives and officials who claim a profile go through verification and agree to the Representative Terms.

5. Your content. You keep ownership of what you write (Soundings demands, perspectives, feedback, profile text). You give Symposiarch, LLC a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and use it to operate and improve WayVote, including in aggregate and anonymized form. You may delete your content; copies may persist in backups for up to 30 days and in aggregates that cannot identify you.

6. Your votes and answers. Your votes on bills and your questionnaire answers are yours. They are used to compute your Civic DNA and alignment scores. They are shown to others only as you choose (public profile, Civic Twin) or in aggregates that never fall below 30 people. You can download them and delete them from Settings.

7. Rules. Don't: impersonate anyone; post content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, or that reveals someone's private information; scrape, probe, overload, or reverse-engineer the service; use WayVote to send unsolicited messages; misrepresent your age or location. We may suspend or end accounts that break these rules.

8. AI-generated content. Bill reads, breakdowns, and Dive Deeper answers are generated by an AI model from official documents and are labeled as such with their source. They can be wrong. They are not legal, financial, or voting advice. Check the official document, linked on every card, before relying on anything.

9. Official records. Voting records, bill texts, and ballot materials come from government sources, which we cite. Corrections to scoring are recorded and dated; where a figure's record is disputed, we show the dispute rather than resolve it.

10. Privacy. The Privacy Policy (document B) is part of these Terms.

11. Payments. Nothing is charged during the beta. If paid features launch, you will see the price, the renewal terms, and a one-click way to cancel online before you pay.

12. Ending. You can delete your account at any time in Settings; deletion requests are honored within 30 days. We may end the beta or your access with notice, except for rule violations.

13. Disclaimers. WayVote is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee accuracy, completeness, or availability.

14. Limits on liability. To the extent the law allows, Symposiarch, LLC isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and its total liability for any claim is limited to $100 or the amount you paid us in the past 12 months, whichever is greater.

15. Disputes. California law governs. Courts in San Diego County, California, have exclusive venue. [Counsel to decide: arbitration clause and class-action waiver; if included, add a 30-day opt-out by email.]

16. Changes. We will post changes here with a new version and effective date, and ask you to agree again when the change is material.
